His Place

Jesus said He is the Way, the truth, and the life. This is personal. This is between you and Him. Like any relationship in your life, your relationship with Jesus should grow and develop in healthy ways. John the Baptist said of his relationship with Christ, "He must increase, but I must decrease." (John 3:30) Becoming more like Christ is a process many call discipleship. Once you believe Jesus is the Way, the truth, and the life, God will begin to transform who you are into who you were created to be. "Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect." (Romans 12:2) This process will be a natural curiosity, or drive, to know more about following Christ. If this sounds confusing, or even backwards, don't hesitate to ask someone about discipleship at your next My Place gathering. If you already have a discipleship plan that works for you, really works for you, great. The best discipleship plan is the one you will follow.
